Impression requirements for the 228th Panzerjager batt./116th pz division
| Uniform: Tunics; Original or quality reproduction m40, m42, m43, m44 (M44 only for very late war events) or grey (not black) panzer wraps in wool or HBT are allowed. Swedish, Swiss, East German tunics are not authorized. |
| Pants: m37 (straight leg) trousers or the m42/43 (tapered leg, reinforced seat) Keilhosen as well as the grey panzer wrap pant (only when wearing the panzer wrap)are allowed. Camo pants in splinter pattern or the Italian camo are allowed IF they are made to the correct pattern and only for events where we would be in Italy or somewhere in the Mediterranean. No Swedish conversions are allowed. Correct shorts (HBT) or "Liberated" British shorts are acceptable for the "walking around" prior to or after battle time. |
| Insignia: Every tunic must have a breast eagle, collar litzen or tab (for the panzer wrap), and pink (panzerjager) piped shoulderboards. The shoulderboards MUST BE OF FIELDGRAU NOT BLACK! |
| Helmet: The m35/40 rolled edge or m42 flair edged Helmet (Stahlhelm) are the correct ones to use. Spanish helmets may only be used for brand new members as a brief necessary item and then only if covered with a correct camo cover. Helmets must be painted the correct shade of grey or green. Camo covers and bands are authorized, but no SS helmet covers. |
| Boots: Marching boots (Marschstiefel), West German, or East German boots are acceptable with proper conversion. Ankle boots are also permitted with the correct 1944 repro gaiters. |
| Shirt: Grey or white service shirt or the correct tropical shirt in warm weather. |
| Cap: M43 field cap with the proper Windhund insignia or the M34 field cap are correct. Crusher caps can only be worn by NCO's and must have the pink piping. |
| Socks: Grey wool. Should have the white size rings. |
| I.D. disk (Erkennungsmarken): Correctly marked for the unit. |
| Soldbuch: Army enlisted type. |
| Equipment: * Waist belt with the steel Army belt buckle. * Ammunition pouches (2) appropriate for your weapon. * Y-straps. Original or quality reproductions. NO Austrian ones. * M31 Bread bag. * M31 Mess tin. * M31 canteen and cup. * M-38 Gas mask canister. * K98k bayonet and frog leather case. * Entrenching tool with leather carrier. Straight or folding shovel is ok. * Shelter quarter (Zeltbahn) Original or quality reproduction ONLY. Not the square post war stuff. * Leather straps for attaching the zelt, mess tin, etc. to equipment. |
| Weapons: The standard weapon is the K98k which was the backbone of the Wehrmacht and carried by most German soldiers. Weapon must have the turned downbolt, German stock and sling. No vz-24s or M48's are authorized. Additional weapons may be authorized if they are weapons that German front line troops would and could use. (IE. Panzerfausts, panzerschrecks, MP-40, captured weapons, etc.) |
| Hair / Eyewear: Hair must conform to the 1940's styles (off the ears and the collars.) No beards please. Mustaches allowed, but must conform to the 1940 German standards. Glasses must be of the 1940's European style (such as round lens wire frame) or you should wear contact lenses. No modern-style glasses. |
